Unicorn Model — breaker plus gap, tracked to target.

Setups where a breaker and a fair value gap overlap. The tool sources the liquidity, applies your bias, draws the zone with an R:R target, and tracks each one to either its target or its invalidation.

Quick start

This tool has a lifecycle, not just a display. Learn the states first.

  1. Leave Unicorn Mode off initially. Off is the broader setup set; on is the strict overlap only.
  2. Set Bias to Automatic so setups against the higher-timeframe read are filtered out for you.
  3. Keep Show Info Table on — it is where a setup's current state is reported.
  4. Leave Discard Invalidated Setups off at first so you can watch how setups fail, then turn it on once you trust it.

Model

How strict the setup definition is, and how many are kept.

Unicorn Mode off
On, only strict breaker-and-gap overlaps qualify. Off, the broader setup set is shown. Start off and tighten once you know what you are filtering away.
Max Setups on Chart 10
How many setups display at once.
Discard Invalidated Setups off
Removes setups once invalidated. Off keeps the failures visible, which is how you learn what a failing setup looks like before it fails.

Liquidity Sources

Where the model looks for the liquidity a setup runs from.

Bars either side defining a pivot. Higher gives fewer, more significant swings.

Bias

The directional filter.

Bias Neutral
Neutral shows both directions, Bullish or Bearish pins one, Automatic derives it from a higher timeframe.
HTF for Auto Bias Auto
Which timeframe automatic bias reads from: Auto, or a fixed 15 through W.

Automatic is the setting that makes this tool quiet. On Neutral you get every qualifying overlap in both directions, which on an active instrument is a lot.

Targets and Invalidation

Where a setup is going, and what kills it.

Show R:R Target on
Draws the reward target at your ratio.
R:R 2.0
The ratio used for the primary target.
Show Additional Targets on
Further targets beyond the primary.
Invalidation Mode Breaker
Breaker invalidates on the breaker level, Swing on the swing. Breaker is the tighter definition and fails faster.
Warning Proximity (% of R) 0.2
How close to invalidation price must come before a warning fires — 0.2 means within 20% of your R distance.
The warning is the useful alert

Invalidation Hit tells you a setup is dead, which you can see. Invalidation Warning tells you it is about to be, while there is still a decision to make. If you only enable one of the two, enable the warning.

Size and Time Filters

Excluding setups by zone size or time of day.

Size Filter Off
Off, Small, Medium, Large or Custom. Custom exposes Min and Max Zone Size in points.
Enable Time Filter off
Restricts setups to enabled sessions. Session 1 is on, sessions 2 and 3 off, with the timezone defaulting to America/New_York.

Zone size is a proxy for risk: a large zone means a distant invalidation and therefore a smaller position for the same dollar risk. Filtering by size is filtering by the trade you are actually able to take.

Display and Table

Zone styling and the info panel.

Alerts

Five events covering the whole setup lifecycle.

Enable Alerts on
Master switch.
Potential Breaker on
A breaker is forming — the earliest signal, before a setup exists.
Activation on
A setup has become active. This is the actionable one.
Target Reached on
The R:R target has been hit.
Invalidation Warning on
Price is approaching invalidation, within your warning proximity.
Invalidation Hit on
The setup is dead.
Set up first, alert last

TradingView freezes your settings into the alert at the moment you create it. With five lifecycle events and several filters, that matters more here than in the simpler tools — retune anything and the alert keeps the old configuration.
