Quick start

This is the busiest tool in the set. Start narrow.

  1. Turn off Show NWOG and Show NDOG for the first session and get used to the chart-timeframe gaps alone.
  2. Leave Auto HTF Selection on so the higher-timeframe gaps follow your chart.
  3. Set Max Gaps to Store low. Five is already a lot of boxes.
  4. If the chart is unreadable, turn on Show Only Correlated — it removes every gap the correlated markets do not agree with.

Opening Gaps

New Week Opening Gaps and New Day Opening Gaps — the weekly and daily session breaks.

5pm to 6pm GAP on
Uses the futures 5–6pm break to define the gap. Turn off to measure previous close to current open instead.
Show NWOG on
New Week Opening Gap. Previous NWOGs (default 4) sets how many prior weeks stay drawn.
Show NDOG on
Naked Daily Opening Gap. Distinct from a suspension block, and it can visually stack with SB and FVG boxes — give it its own fill colour so you can tell them apart.
NWOG C.E. · NDOG C.E. both off
Consequent Encroachment — the midpoint of the gap. Often where price actually reacts.
Extend to Current Day on
Extends the gap to today. Off, it stops at the end of its week.
Show Date Labels on
With a Date Format of dd.MM, MM.dd, dd.MM.yy or MM.dd.yy, plus optional price labels and horizontal and vertical label placement.

Fair Value Gaps

Higher-timeframe gaps carried over from the Po3 engine.

Show FVGs on Chart on
Fair value gaps with dynamic mitigation — the box responds as price interacts with it.
Auto HTF Selection on
Picks HTF1 and HTF2 from your chart timeframe. Off, you choose them.
HTF1 · HTF2 both on
The two higher-timeframe gap sets.
Show Mitigated Color on
Changes appearance when price touches, before full mitigation. This is the difference between a gap that has been visited and one that has been consumed.
Label Size Small
Auto, Tiny, Small, Normal or Large.

Chart Timeframe Gaps

Gaps on the timeframe you are actually looking at.

Max Gaps to Store 5
How many chart-timeframe gaps are kept. The main clutter dial.
Direction Bias Auto
Auto, Bull Only or Bear Only. Pinning direction halves the boxes on screen.
Show FVG Boxes on
The boxes themselves.
Box Left Boundary C2 Impulse
Where the box starts: at the C2 Impulse or across the Full Formation. The impulse version is tighter and usually the one you want.
Extend to Last Touch on
Stops extending the box once price has touched it, freezing it at that bar.
Show EQ Line on
Midpoint of the gap.
FVG Labels (+/−) off
Direction markers on each box.

Suspension Blocks

The three-candle structure and the imbalances flanking it.

Detect Suspension Blocks on
Turns the detection on. Show SB Zone draws the block itself.
Show Volume Imbalances on
Lighter boxes for the two gaps flanking the middle candle. These are not NDOG or NWOG — the vertical size is only the gap, not the whole move.
Imbalance width Per gap pair
Per gap pair shades each gap only between its own two candles, which avoids one tall column. Formation span draws wider horizontal bands.
SB Fill Mode Body
Body or Wick defines the block's boundaries.
Imbalance Opacity · Touched Opacity 80 · 90
Transparency for the flanking zones, and the opacity applied once price touches a gap without closing through it.

Correlation and SMT

Filtering gaps by what the related markets are doing.

Enable Correlation Detection on
Turns on the cross-market comparison.
Show Only Correlated off
The strongest filter in the tool: hides every gap the correlated markets do not confirm. Turn this on when the chart is overwhelming.
Correlation Mode Auto
Off, Auto or Manual. Manual exposes three asset fields plus Invert Asset 3 for inverse relationships.
Divergence Mode Triad
Dyad compares against one market, Triad against two. Triad is stricter — two markets must disagree with yours.
Show SMT Fill Lines on
Marks gaps filled during a divergence, with SMT Fill Gaps to Show capping the count at 3.

Alerts

New gaps, SMT fills, and a session filter.

Enable Alerts on
Master switch.
Alert: New Gap on
With Gap Alert Type choosing FVG Only, SB Only or FVG and SB.
Alert: SMT Fill off
A gap filled during divergence. SMT-Fill Alert Timing fires Immediate or waits for Alert on Close — waiting removes most false fires.
Alert Direction Both
Both, Bull or Bear.
Session Filter off
With a Session Preset of Asia, London, NY AM, NY PM, London + NY, or a Custom window such as 0930-1200.
Gap alerts are frequent

New gaps form constantly on low timeframes. If you enable gap alerts without a session filter and a direction, expect a stream. The usable configuration is one direction, one session, close-confirmed.
